Oodgeroo Gardens

Byron Bay, NSW · Outdoor entertaining and staircase · May 2025

The brief

This outdoor entertaining area centred around a custom timber deck and sculptural spiral staircase. Each spotted gum tread was individually scribed to follow the exact curvature of the staircase, a process requiring patience, precision and traditional craftsmanship. The finished result is both highly functional and an architectural feature in its own right.
