The brief

A backyard transformed into a space for gathering, entertaining and everyday living. Large hardwood beams frame the fly-over pergola, while exposed aggregate concrete and a handcrafted stone staircase create a landscape that feels grounded in its surroundings. The staircase was built using stone excavated during construction, allowing the material to remain part of the site and giving the finished project a sense of permanence and authenticity.
